Safe, gentle, effective.
Parents often consult our Paediatric Osteopaths following their baby's birth. There might be a specific problem to assess or just an overall check up, to help give you peace of mind.
We carefully assess your baby for any stresses or strains causing them discomfort. Using our highly developed sense of touch and gentle technique, we ensure treatment is safe, gentle and effective. We also work alongside local health visitors, midwives, lactation consultants and tongue-tie practitioners to help find the right treatment for you and your baby.
Treatment of children is a specialist area of osteopathic practice. All our osteopaths have undertaken postgraduate training in Paediatric Osteopathy and continue to update our knowledge of paediatric practice as part of our ongoing professional development.
We offer a free Baby Check service to assess any issues causing you or your baby concern. In this online service, we take a full medical history and assess your baby accordingly. If osteopathic treatment is needed, we will let you know.
When a child isn’t fully themselves, parents know.

Problems we see in clinic:
Pregnancy should not mean pain.
We aim to help you to enjoy your pregnancy. Muscular and joint pain in pregnancy is so common that it is often considered normal – we disagree. Pregnancy should not mean that you need to suffer. Pain or discomfort is a sign that your body is struggling to adapt to its new shape and needs help.
Osteopathy can help to provide relief from many pregnancy-related aches and pains, as well as more specific conditions such as pelvis, back and neck pain. If you have suffered an injury to your pelvis or coccyx, it’s worth seeking treatment to support the function of the tissues before you go into labour.

New mums are often too busy to deal with any residual discomfort following the birth. Everything is wrapped up in caring for babies - and we’re all so very tired! However, it’s a good time to treat postpartum effects as the body is most responsive soon after labour.
Many suffer from back pain, sore thumbs or an aching neck following the delivery of their baby. For some women, pain in the lower back and pelvis doesn't ease as quickly. A postnatal assessment and osteopathic treatment can help your body cope with the strains and changes your body has
The Mummy MOT is a specialist, detailed postnatal assessment we recommend for all women following delivery – whether six weeks or years after.
After delivering their baby, most women experience weakened abdominal and pelvic floor muscles. This can create instability and poor core strength resulting in problems such as back pain, pelvic pain, bladder and bowel weaknesses.
We’ll look at the strength and function of your abdominal and pelvic floor muscles and work to understand how your body is compensating for these changes. Together, we’ll help you achieve your goals and regain confidence in your health.
When it comes to sports injuries, osteopathy has a unique approach. Osteopaths look beyond the injured area, to find out why the injury has occurred.
With an accurate working diagnosis, we can use a variety of techniques to address the injury. We'll put together a tailored treatment plan, helping you achieve your goals and get back to enjoying an active life.
Young people are especially vulnerable in sport as their growing bodies have to perform to high standards with great physical demand. The good news is that although sports injuries are common, with a bit of help, those who are fit tend to recover quickly and easily from their injuries.
